February Discussion Prompts
These prompts help create meaningful conversations and reinforce the importance of love, connection, and emotional safety in your parent-child relationship. ❤

Instructions:
Choose one or two prompts at a time to strengthen parent-child connection and deepen understanding.
Option 1: Read through the list in order or select prompts that feel most relevant each day.
Option 2: Print the PDF and cut out the prompts, then place them in a container to draw randomly throughout the month.
Next, answer the prompts yourself to encourage open sharing and strengthen the connection with your child.
Bonus: Have your child ask you the question and respond.
Ask your child:

3. What is something you wish we could do together more often?
4. Can you tell me about a time when you felt really connected to me?
What made that moment special?
5. What are some ways we can show love to each other every day, even when we’re busy?
6. How do you like to receive love? (Hugs, kind words, time together, little surprises..)
7. What is one thing you really appreciate about our family?
8. Can you think of a time when I helped you feel better when you were sad or upset? What helped the most?
9. How do you think our family is different from others in a special way?
10. What’s one thing we can do together this week to feel more connected?
11. What does it mean to feel loved?
12. How do you like to show kindness to others?
13. What are some small ways we can spread love and kindness in our family every day?
14. What’s a strength you have that helps you be a good friend or family member?
15. If you could give a Valentine to someone who really needs kindness right now, who would it be and why?
16. How can we handle situations where someone isn’t kind to us? What’s a healthy way to respond?
17. What are some loving things you can say to yourself when you feel upset or discouraged?
