I can help your kids and your family:
build emotional intelligence and
use realistic strategies to improve wellbeing
Moms,
I’ve been where you are.
The days are long but they somehow fly by. Your kids are growing up so fast but if you hear “Mommy!” again you just might cry. You’re finding yourself yelling too much and being critical, even a little mean. This is not the childhood you had planned for them.
Stuck between the need to get away and the overwhelming guilt that you aren’t making the most of this season in life.
You worry what they will think of their childhood. Will they look back and remember mom as an overwhelmed mess who never wanted to play with them?
Chances are you are doing a much better job than you give yourself credit for. I’ve yet to meet a parent who doesn’t feel like their failing, at least sometimes.
Sometimes I feel that way too.
These programs are designed to consider family emotional wellbeing. They help your kids, but they help you too.
I can help you develop realistic strategies
to implement in your everyday life that will improve your ability to cope with the hard days and embrace the good.
You will be able to find the good in everyday life and experience this moment of motherhood in a way that you had been missing. You will experience less stress and more joy.
We will work together to utilize tried and true methods in a way that fits your life. I won’t just teach you them, I’ll help you implement them. We’ll strategize together and find what works for you.
Here is what I cannot do:
I can’t make you the perfect mom, perfect moms do not exist.
Actually, I can’t make you anything. You are in control of your life.
I can’t fix it for you, but I can help you find the way.
I can’t give you the secret and watch your life become everything you have ever dreamed, I can help you figure out what the dream is and how to move towards it.
I cannot diagnose or treat any mental health conditions. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in NYS. That means that while I am able to diagnose and treat these conditions in my physical office in New York, I am not able to do so in this context (virtually and potentially over state lines). This is a line that I am able to identify and ensure that I do not cross. If I feel that clients are showing clinical symptoms that could need a higher level of care I will refer out to someone who is properly licensed and qualified to help. You can read more about that here in my disclaimers.
I’ve spent a lot of time with my nose in a book while rocking a baby to sleep.
I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. I’m currently employed as a therapist in an outpatient mental health clinic working with adults and children with a multitude of strengths and needs.
I have a passion for helping moms.
This began with volunteer work as a Certified Lactation Consultant working with military families living in Germany. In graduate school I founded a non-profit to address diaper need in my community. My heart lies in ensuring that the experience of motherhood is as joyful as can be and that the hard moments are fewer than the magical ones.

My experience as a mom and a mental health professional has put me in a unique position to understand the emotional needs of my clients. I can see the issue from both sides. This makes me able to help you implement realistic strategies to improve your emotional wellness.
